Born and raised in Eureka CA, Shawn Griggs has been creating art for over 20 years. Since receiving a degree in studio/graphic arts from Humboldt State University in 1994, Shawn has become proficient in illustration, graphic design, watercolors, and most recently oil painting. Shawn's passion for surfing took him on many travels to Mexico where he embraced the culture, the land and people. Dia de los Muertos became one of Shawn's favorite subjects for his art and he has brought the skeletons to newer more diverse subject matter in his works. Shawn was a participating artist in the Dia de los Muertos annual show at the Kimball Gallery, DeYoung Museum in 2007 and in 2008 at the SOMARTS show here in San Francisco. He is currently showing his work at Club 6 here in SF. Polu Manu is Shawn's official representative here in the bay area. We have many of Shawn's giclees on canvas and his paper prints available.
